| It's amazing how rare I update xanga. It used to be THE THING.
Now Facebook and Myspace dominate.
I still enjoy coming here and reading updates though. I'm not
LAME like the people who ditched xanga all together. BOO on them.
Okay so let's see. The latest developments!
I'm losing my roomate, Francesca, to Ohio in January. She's moving back
since it's been too hard on her to live on her own. So I've been
looking for weeks to find a new roomate or new accomodations but
nothing has worked out yet. I have till Feb 1 before our lease runs out.
I've been quite busy with school and finding work. A job never came out
successfully. Oops! haha. I have to find one soon though. School
has gone so well this semester. I have A's in all my classes. It feels
so nice to be scholastic again. High school was a waste. grrr.
I'm applying for an exchange to the Netherlands for the 07/08 school
year. I REALLY hope it works out. I know this well help my dream
of living in Europe become a little more of a reality. I chose
the Netherlands over the Czech Republic (which was the original plan)
since they have the biggest church group in Europe. They meet
every week and I'm already close to most of them. The closest
congregation in the Czech Republic would be in Germany. haha. not so
great. I can't wait to see what happens!! If I don't get accepted
I'm applying for an exchange up to University of Washington in
Seattle. I'm pretty much granted acceptance since it's a partner
school with my university. I would stay with Marci and Elyse
Blakney since they're moving up there in the fall as well. So no matter
what, next year should be a nice change.
I feel closer than ever to Doug and Teri right now. We're going through
another one of our "we're crazy about each other" spurts. It's so
great. I can't wait to see them in Louie again. Hugs and Kisses time!! Ran and I have become even closer friends as well. It's wonderful.
FAB NEWS.
Teri and I are travelling to HOLLAND in April together. We'll be
booking out flights within the next week or so. We're going to
visit the de Jongs as well as become more cultrally enriched. I AM SO
EXCITED. David might come as well. eeeee!
As far was winter break goes:
I am taking my last final early so I can leave the 21st of Dec to fly
to Louisville!! Actually I fly into Ohio since the rates were better.
I'm driving down with Zachers.
So LOUIE it is!!!!! I'm way excited to see everyone again.
After that, it's back to Cincinnati for 3 weeks!! Staying with Sarah
most of the time. I may bounce a round a night or two elsewhere.
I'm so excited to help my ABCers move in. I have so many friends
going this year; it's insane!
I fly back to Cali on the 17th to pick up Peter from the airport on the
19th! He's here for a weekend before going up to Canada for
skiing. He'll be back a week later as well. YAY!
Then it'll be back to the books I'm afraid. BOOOOO.

| WOW! my xanga has certainly been neglected!
Well since Hye sierra.....
Doug and Randy came to visit for a whole week for the OC bash plus more.
We went on the Price is Right!! (it airs Oct. 4th and Sarah Bates, Mark
Mirigian, and Katelyn Roybal came too!) Katelyn actually got called up
and won some stuff! It was pretty sweeeet..!
Besides that we went through Hollywood and LA and had a great time.
(minus my u-turns) Then of course we went to the OC Bash...which was
amazing.
The whole week was definitely the highlight of my summer thus far!
here's some pics from that.

AFTER the OC bash and the boys left......
I went up to Sacramento where MARCI got me and brought me to Chilcoot to stay for the night...along with Mark who came up.
I love my Blakney girls. We got in an accident on our way to church that Sabbath. Oops. Not too bad though.

Elyse and I. (it's actually from the OC bash but i saw her right after so yeah)

THEN i went to visit the Fikes in Nevada....
we went to Lake Tahoe...camped...had a great time...but I injured myself
--The Foot Story--
About 10-14 of us camped at Tahoe on Saturday night the 22nd of
July. Late that night I was walking on the beach and I stepped on
something but I didn't know what. It didn't hurt too bad and we didn't
have anything to clean it with anyway so I just went to bed. In
the morning I could barely walk. It was the big Tahoe church
picnic so Mr. Kreamer was there so he cleaned it up since he's a
nurse. The object (most likely a rock) went about an inch into my
foot and there was a lot of sand in it since it had been unbandaged for
about 12 hours. After we cleaned it up I really couldn't
walk. It was still a fun day...and I loved hanging out with
everyone.
I stayed at the Fike house the next 3 days but I started a fever and my
foot only seemed to stay infected. I was supposed to leave for
Davidson that Thursday...but after my temp got to 104 and I still
couldn't walk my Dad drove up to Sac (300 + miles) and then brought me
back home that same night. I got back to Bako around 2 am...went
into the doctor that morning. I got a shot in the hip, 2
antibitoics, pain killers, xrays, bloodwork....then went back the next
day for another shot. It was really painful.
I realized I couldn't go to camp.....
And now almost 2 and a half weeks later I just started walking again. YAY! Today was my first day.
Thanks to the Fikes for taking care of me so well. I love them all! Kristen and Chelsea are my giiiirls.
Here's a pic of Kristen and I at Tahoe a couple hours before my foot was wrecked.

------
So in the meantime...I got an apartment in LA to share with
Francesca. It's only one bedroom but it's all we can afford since
it's $1000 a month. BUT! It's right across from campus so we don't have
to drive. Gas savings make up the difference.
I'm in the process of packing all my stuff up for the move. I
leave for Maryland on Friday to go to Camp Heritage. Staying at Randy's
that night since staff training starts on Saturday. Camp is only 3
hours away from his house vs like 6 from Ohio.
I am so excited I still have a camp left! After camp it's to Ohio
for a couple days where I wait for Francesca and Mark to get back
from Ghana and then we are roadtripping back together. I can't
wait!
So here's my updated xanga.
